Week 3

Well this blog is a little late, but better late than never right! Last week was week three of our school year! It is so hard to believe how fast time has been passing. George is doing AMAZING! He is really learning and learning fast! Last week was again a 4 day week, due to Monday being a holiday. So here is some of our week through pictures!

On Monday we read "Bears Loose Tooth" So we made bears that we colored, cut and pasted together. George loved this! Shockingly he even got into the coloring which he never does!

My bear, and Georges. He is proving to be very artistic! He loves using lots of colors when he does decide to color.

Doing some "book work" We usually do the book work first thing in the morning and then move on to more activities and "fun stuff" as George likes to call it. And pointing out who is laying in the background. I told y'all she is always by his side. Likes to make sure big brother is safe.

We read a book a few night ago that was about a boy and his dream about boats. George loves boats so I told him if he dreams about boats we will make one. He held me to it! He added lots of color of course, he put a sun in the sky bigger waves, and two sharks under the boat. He then told us that the bigger shark ate the boat. Kids and their imaginations.

We start every morning off with the Pledge of Allegiance. It is so cute to see him standing their waiting for us to start it. He is starting to pick up on lines and some lines he finishes them without me telling him the next words.

We bought a new set of flashcards. Their still made by school zone its a go fish set. I however bought them on amazon, since in order to order direct from their website you need an order of $10 or more and these where listed at $2.99, so I found them here for the same price and free shipping due to amazon prime. The cards are great! You match the uppercase letter and the lowercase letter. On the uppercase letter is the adult animal, and the lowercase is the baby animal and according to George its the daddy and the baby..... We have a lot of fun and these help with our speech therapy too because he has to say "Go Fish" and he needs help with the G, F and the SH...

Sunday was Grandparents day! So we did a craft. Hoping by now everybody has received theirs. George worked very hard!

This was the finished product, little pictures in picture frames for them all!

This is kinda hard to read but everybodys also came with a note from George, that he wrote himself saying "Happy Grandparents Day    George"  He worked very hard so I hope everyone enjoys them!

So that was basically week 3. We are really starting to get in the groove of getting things done, and I am learning what things he really likes to encourage him to get through the full day.  We are about halfway done with the alphabet, and almost done with the numbers 1-12, so that's great. We need to still do lots of practice on what the sounds the letters make and matching the numbers up, but my first thing was getting him to write them all. Once he has done that we will take a few weeks and brush up on knowing the correct order, what sounds they make and recognizing just from me saying the number or letter which one it is. But his writing has gotten much better! He has mastered matching the uppercase and lowercase letters so that's great! I hope everyone enjoys this little update! Until next week!
