Wow I've just realized I fell off th wagom with my blog. I didn't post anything from 1st grade and boy was ot exciting. So out with the old in with the new!!!!!
Going onto second grade this year. So hard to believe we've come so far. Lets start with a cute picture of the day George finished 1st grade
So obviously we are continuing our journey as a home schooling family. We are doing it for many reasons but most importantly is because we feel its best for george. Its the environment he is thriving in. He loves beimg homeschooled and will tell you that. This last year he did amazing. We found home school claasses at the zoo, aquarium, science center and the local parks! George had a blast at all the ones that we attended. He learned more than I could have imagined. Also this past year he joined cub scouts which has been amazing. Hes got lots of friends in his pack anr loves going to the outings and meetings. So thats a little of last yer now onto this year
2nd grade! Oh my. When did we get here. This year we have changed curriculum. I'll make another blog all about that but its gonna be a fun fun year. We are planmimg to start school sept 3 so I am still in my rush to get things done. Like the past im working on my file folder games. These have proven both years to be a great asset to our classroom.
The classroom moved downstairs! Heres my desk. Dont mind the clutter im still workimg on prep for the year
We've got some new shelves for storage. Who knew I could fill it so fasr.
We've got his first dictionary, thesaurus, and bible!
This is currently what my desk looks like and this is just curriculum books and not all of it at that.
We've added new flashcarda nd cards to work with on phonics and math. I can't wit to use these.
Lots of new things are goimg on with the. Ew curriculum I will be using. Geirge George is already looking forward to the new year and learning more. Omce I get the rest of the curriculum nd have a chance to sort through it ill post about it all and our day to day thinga I plan to do. Have a great day!
